Terms of Service

The "Japan Help Now" service ("Service") is provided by Japan Help Now ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service provides multilingual emergency information and contact directories for foreign visitors in Japan (lost items, injury/illness, disasters, shelters). Every feature is free. There are no fees, no subscriptions and no accounts.

You must not: use the Service unlawfully; commit fraud, impersonation, or spam; infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others; interfere with the Service's security (malware, probing, scraping, rate-limit circumvention); reverse engineer, resell, or bypass technical restrictions.

All rights in the Service, including software, content, trademarks, and design, remain ours or our licensors'. You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.

Anything you enter into the medical translation card is stored only on your own device. We do not receive it, store it, process it, or have any way to read it. Content submitted through the error report form is handled only as far as is needed to check the report and fix what it points at.

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Contact numbers, opening hours, and maps are provided for reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate or current. In a life-threatening emergency always contact official services directly (110 police, 119 fire/ambulance in Japan).

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or unlawful use of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access without prior notice for material breach, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. The only data we hold is what you send through the error report form, and it is kept for as long as the Privacy Notice says. The medical translation card is on your own device, so it is not ours to delete.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as court of first instance over any dispute arising from the Service or these Terms.
